If you have a Regular Cab Long Bed truck, please measure forward 60 inches from the bottom of the rear axle and verify that you have a good spot on the frame to land the front mounting brackets. Some models have brackets for the fuel tank, which interfere with 60 in. bar frame side mounting points and should run WCF100853 68 in. bars instead. A quick measurement and visual inspection before you order will help confirm which bar set is right for your truck. If you have Extended Cab Long Bed or Crew Cab Long Bed truck, use part number WCF100853. If you have a Lift Kit and your U-Bolts face up instead of down like factory, use Traction Bar Kit WCF100855. If you have a Lift Kit and your REAR lift Block is taller than 5" or your total lift height is 6" or greater, use part number WCF100853. Traction bars are a necessary upgrade when increasing the horsepower on your diesel truck to prevent the axle from twisting, which can lead to broken u-joints, driveshafts, and even twisted axle housings. Our traction bar brackets bolt onto the bottom of the axle tube via the axle u-bolts and weld to the frame on the front end. We use a high-quality RockJock rebuild-able and grease-able Johnny Joint heim connection at the frame to allow for torsion adjustment on the axle or if you raise/lower the rear of your truck. At the axle connection, we use heavy-duty Poly Urethane Bushing for decreased noise and vibration, which is a common complaint if a solid heim is used on both ends. Grade 8 hardware connects the bars to the mounts on the frame and axle. We complete our traction bar kit with our professional in-house powder coat process in your color choice and come standard with an epoxy Primer base coat before the final color, which increases corrosion resistance by more than ten times compared to just your standard powder single coat application.
