This kit builds on our 5400TP-KIT bronze thrust plate kit by adding a camshaft retaining plate and camshaft bolts. The retaining plate included in this kit features bendable tabs which stop the bolts from backing out of the camshaft.
The new retaining plate kit for LS Applications includes the COMP Cams-exclusive Ampco Camshaft retaining plate and 3-bolt Cam bolt locking plate. The Camshaft retaining plate offers major friction improvement over stock cast iron plates. Created out of a high-strength aluminum bronze alloy, the plate is CNC-machined and double-disc ground to precision tolerances. The retaining plate also features a CNC-machined o-ring Seal for positive oil Seal. This plate is a must have for racing, especially on LS Applications retro-fit with a distributor that adds thrust to the Camshaft.
