HPX40 Downpipe is required for installation on 1994-2004 Cummins truck, 2005-2008 AUTOMATIC trucks will also require the HPX40 downpipe. PhatShaft (65mm T-wheel) For mild fuel upgrade – The PhatShaft 62 is the perfect replacement turbo for towing. The PhatShaft 62 can be purchased with a 12 or 14 turbine housing matched with a 65mm turbine. We suggest a 12 cm turbine housing if the truck has moderate fueling upgrades such as 300hp injectors and a cam plate. If the truck has heavier fueling upgrades such as 370hp injectors, aggressive cam plate and governor springs then you will be better suited with 14cm housing. The benefit of the 14cm exhaust housing is lower Exhaust Gas Temperatures but it will be slower to spool in daily driving situations. The wategate is set at 40psi to prevent head gasket failure. The PhatShaft 62 compliments moderate fueling upgrades and can support 300 – 550hp. The 62 is a drop in replacement however, a HX40 downpipe is required for installation.
